Each Thursday evening four readers and a recording technician meet at the Talking Newspaper studio in Writtle to record a 90 minute presentation from the local newspapers. The Editor selects and allocates the items to represent a balance of news. The recording technician controls the recording quality and adds the music, making the final sound edits to ensure the quality of recording and produces mp3 versions for distribution. We upload to our website via BWBF and to Chelmsford Community Radio - an online service now available on 104.4FM radio.

Recordings are posted in padded plastic wallets with Velcro fastening for easy sealing. Each wallet has a window pocket to hold a slip-in reversible address label: the address of the recipient and the return address of the Talking Newspaper. Just turn over the label and re-insert it into the window pocket. Pop into a convenient post box for return. No stamp is needed.
